Novelty ~ Beaded Lid for a Round Tin

Novelty ~ Beaded Lid for a Round Tin

This project combines three of my favourite things - beads, beadwork and small containers.  You too can stitch a beaded cover for any tin that has a lid measuring 82mm or  3 1/4 inches in diameter.  The project looks more difficult than it really is.

  • About This Tutorial...

To make the Beaded Lid for a Round Tin, you will need a 7mm round two-hole cabochon bead, honeycomb or honeycomb gem beads, kite beads, bridge beads, mini gem duo beads, Matubo size 10/0 cylinder beads or Delica size 10/0 beads, as well as size 11/0 and 15/0 Miyuki seed beads.  You will also need a small square piece of ultrasuede or fabric, adhesive that will bond fabric and glass to metal, and one metal tin that is 82mm (3 1/4 inches) in diameter.

The PDF tutorial includes a detailed materials list, written instructions and full-colour illustrations. It is a digital file that can be viewed on a screen or printed on sheets of paper. There are no beads included with the purchase of this pattern.

After purchasing the tutorial, a link will be sent to your e-mail address so the PDF file can be downloaded to your computer or other device.  Please note that this link expires after one month.
